La demanda de energ\u00eda seguir\u00e1 en aumento debido al bono demogr\u00e1fico, que implica un crecimiento en el consumo de energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica y, consecuentemente, un mayor desarrollo.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->Guatemala posee una abundancia de recursos renovables, con una capacidad instalada de m\u00e1s de 3,500 MW que incluye una diversidad de tecnolog\u00edas y fuentes de energ\u00eda. Esta infraestructura robusta ofrece una base s\u00f3lida para seguir creciendo. Sin embargo, no toda la demanda ha atra\u00eddo las inversiones necesarias en generaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><span style=\"color: #f78d20;\"><strong>Fortalezas del Sector Energ\u00e9tico<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->El pa\u00eds cuenta con un sector el\u00e9ctrico bien estructurado, con instituciones, reglas y agentes que operan bajo un marco que promueve la eficiencia y la competencia desde hace casi 30 a\u00f1os. Esta estabilidad ha permitido desarrollar un sector ejemplar a nivel mundial. Adem\u00e1s, la diversidad geogr\u00e1fica de Guatemala, con puertos en ambos oc\u00e9anos y una posici\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica, son ventajas competitivas significativas.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><span style=\"color: #f78d20;\"><strong>Lecciones del Pasado<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->Colom enfatiz\u00f3 que no debemos confiar en la estructura existente sin reconocer los errores pasados. El pa\u00eds ha pagado el precio de haber tenido un modelo monop\u00f3lico-estatal y, posteriormente, de no haber contado con una pol\u00edtica energ\u00e9tica clara y planes de expansi\u00f3n definidos.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->Las inversiones en generaci\u00f3n, transmisi\u00f3n y distribuci\u00f3n requieren billones de d\u00f3lares y per\u00edodos prolongados para recuperar la inversi\u00f3n. Por lo tanto, es fundamental tener se\u00f1ales claras del mercado y certeza jur\u00eddica para atraer y mantener inversiones.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><span style=\"color: #f78d20;\"><strong>La Necesidad de una Planificaci\u00f3n de Largo Plazo<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->El crecimiento del sector energ\u00e9tico debe planificarse con una visi\u00f3n a largo plazo, considerando las realidades nacionales. Esta planificaci\u00f3n debe garantizar energ\u00eda suficiente a precios estables y competitivos. Sin planificaci\u00f3n, los objetivos no se cumplir\u00e1n, como bien dec\u00eda Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry: \u201cUn objetivo sin un plan es s\u00f3lo un deseo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><strong>Hacia una Pol\u00edtica Energ\u00e9tica Congruente<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->Para que la planificaci\u00f3n sea efectiva, debe estar respaldada por una pol\u00edtica energ\u00e9tica congruente con las realidades del pa\u00eds. Esta pol\u00edtica debe ser estrat\u00e9gica, realista y audaz, acompa\u00f1ada de mecanismos eficientes y transparentes que hagan realidad lo planificado. Un marco regulatorio s\u00f3lido y reglas claras son esenciales para atraer inversiones y promover el desarrollo sostenible del sector energ\u00e9tico.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><strong>Conclusi\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->Guatemala tiene todas las herramientas para triunfar en el sector energ\u00e9tico: un marco regulatorio, acceso a recursos renovables, tecnolog\u00edas eficientes, instituciones sectoriales, talento humano, y acceso a capital. Lo que falta es una pol\u00edtica energ\u00e9tica coherente y mecanismos que faciliten la implementaci\u00f3n de los planes. Este es un negocio beneficioso para el pa\u00eds, sus ciudadanos y los inversionistas, representando una verdadera oportunidad de ganar-ganar-ganar.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph
